Shohreh Varmeh received her Ph.D. in cancer biology from Karolinska Institute. Her thesis work focused on identifying genes regulated by the tumor suppressor gene p53. Her post-doctoral trainings at Mount Sinai School of Medicine (NYC) and Beth Israel Medical Center (Boston) focused on signaling pathways, DNA damage response, cell cycle checkpoints, tumor suppressor genes and oncogenes. She worked as staff scientist at Koch Institute at MIT before joining the Faden Lab as senior lab manager/staff scientist.
