A series of papers this year including work from the Megason lab were honored by Science Magazine as the top breakthrough. The single cell sequencing and imaging techniques allow an unprecedent level of detail during development to be analyzed. I am very happy for my colleagues at Harvard Systems Biology and MCB for their achievement.
