Bio

Finn Bamber is a resident of Leverett House and a concentrator in Theater, Dance, and Media with a secondary in Art, Film, and Visual Studies. He works as a lighting design artist and photographer, collaborating to create visual experiences through live performances, spatial installations, and still image sequences / installations. His lighting work has been seen everywhere from Boston MA, to Basel CH in over 30 dierent shows over the past 7 years. Most recently, he received the honor of ‘Best Lighting Design Of A Play Or Musical (Professional)’ from the BroadwayWorld regional Maine awards for his work with Anna Fitzgerald ‘20 and Marvin Merritt IV ‘20. Additionally, outside of his extensive curricular love of photography, Finn has spent the last year and a half working on a photography project known as ‘Waypoints,’ trying to gure out how to live reectively and nd home as a vagabond from March 2020 to September 2021. On campus, Finn has created lighting work in many shows, including those produced by Harvard College Opera, Harvard BlackCAST, The Goat Exchange, TDM, Harvard Expressions, HRMDC, and others. He has been both a Studio Art and Theater Design proctor with the First-year Art Program, and he has had photography and sculpture work displayed in the AFVS open studios. He has had his photography featured by the Harvard Student Art Collective, and was one of two Advocate artists-in-residence for fall 2021.
