Interests:

Sustainable Development, Digital Innovation & Finance-Audit of International Organizations

Originally from Italy, I have gained over 15 years of working experience in multilateral International Organizations and private sector entities.
My interests and education are crucial for the current decade: Finance, Sustainable Development, and Innovative technologies.

I hold a Master of Science degree from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) with a Major in Management of Public Administration and International Organizations and I am an Alumnus of the CEMS Network (Community of European Management Schools).
After a formative experience in Financial and Accounting Services for a leading Italian consulting company, I moved to Budapest, where I began to work with UNHCR, the United Nations refugee agency. During one of my mission in Western Africa, I understood wealthier nations' responsibility to support development sustainably. Wealthier countries have a moral obligation to improve this world, not to exploit it. And, especially nowadays, technology can make a difference if wisely used.
I corroborated my interest in innovation and technology when I worked at the European Institute of Technology, a newly created European Commission body, back in 2011. My role was to audit and authorize the disbursement of public funds to foster innovative solutions in the area of Climate Change and Innovative Energy.
In recent years, I played a crucial role in the World Trade Organization as Head of Financial Operations. During the last 5+ years, I focused my efforts on leading the Division's transformation to a fully automated environment making the best use of new technologies (including robotization, artificial intelligence, and similar) to minimize operational risk and ensure productivity gains. Under this framework, I also spent 12 months in Secondment to the OECD, contributing to institutional research on Sustainable Finance (Impact Investments) and sharing my expertise on the process' streamlining and automation in compliance with existing Internal Controls.

In May 2021, after two years of intense studies in Sustainability and Development, I Graduated from the Harvard's Master in Global Development; this program allowed me to expand the scope of my expertise in my professional and personal life on the above mentioned three pillars.
My Capstone Project, focused on developing a corporate social responsibility business project for a manufacturing company active in the bioplastic industry that has been one of the pioneers of Italy's sustainability. The Project was selected for the International Conference on Sustainable Development, under the theme Social Entrepreunership. The Project is in full roll out phase and aims to improve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG1, 2, 11, and 12), and in particular, it provides actionable solutions to fight against hunger and food insecurity while fostering a plastic-free development.
The beneficiary of the Project is the Community of Milan's Metropolitan Area. It involves the Municipality of Milan, Non-Profit Associations, and innovative technology provided by web platforms sharing the SDGs' goals.
