Bio

I am a computer scientist, and my broader research focus looks at how machine learning algorithms can be used to improve medical imaging and medical image analysis. Together with collaborators, I explore and develop new technologies and algorithms for processing and analysing medical signals and images.  In addition to my interest in machine learning, I draw tools from signal processing, medical physics, and hardware design.

I obtained an M.Sc in Computer Science in 2009 and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2013, both from University of Basel in Switzerland. I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Brigham and Women's Hospital from 2014 - 2017. Since 2017 I am a junior faculty member at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
