My graduate courseload, examination reading, teaching experience, and dissertation research have prepared me to teach a broad array of classes, ranging geographically from Africa to England to the Americas and temporally from the sixteenth century to the twentieth. While at Harvard, I have taught courses on English legal history, American family history, and material culture in world history. In addition, I have prepared several courses for future instruction, including both lecture courses and upper-level seminars:
Introduction to the Atlantic World, 1500-1804
American Revolutions
North American Gender and Women's History to 1870
Founders: the First Generations of Slaves in American History
Gender and Slavery in the Americas, 1600-1800
African Families in the Atlantic World
