This lecture course provided an overview of the history of news from the invention of modern newspapers in the seventeenth century to the multiplication of media today. The class also experimented with digital assignments and collaborative student projects on the history of news ranging from GIS to tagging, wikis, and creative writing. I received the Harvard University Certificate of Distinction in Teaching for my work in this course.
