Hillary Stein is a PhD candidate in the Economics track of the Political Economy and Government program at Harvard University. Her research interests lie in the fields of international finance, macroeconomics, and international political economy, focusing on exchange rates and debt. Specifically, her current work involves understanding both currency determination and the currency vulnerabilities of firms, as well as the political determinants of default. Hillary earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University. She has received the Harvard University Certificate of Distinction of Excellence in Teaching five times.
