Bio

Icey Lin is a Ph.D. student in the Department of History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University, focusing on Buddhist art and architecture in medieval Asia. Prior to joining Harvard, Icey studied Art History and East Asian Religion at Columbia University. She also gained professional experience at the Guggenheim Museum, the Legal Aid Society, and the Weatherhead East Asian Institute. Beyond academia, Icey works as a filmmaker, curator, and producer. The feature-length film SILENCIO (2022), which she produced alongside director Liujiyi Zuo, received the Special Jury Prize at the 20th IFFBoston. The art film TO THE MOON (forthcoming), for which she co-wrote the screenplay with Professor Eugene Wang, has been screened at the Kaohsiung Art Museum and the National Gallery of Singapore. Other exhibitions and art projects in which Icey plays a key role include "Art of Life: Mawangdui Tombs" (Hunan Museum, Changsha, 2024), "Digital Kaihuasi" (CAMLab Cave, Cambridge, 2023), "Liao Pagodas" (CAMLab Cave, Cambridge, 2022), "Fire Dream" (UNO Gallery, Shanghai, 2020), and "Who Let Those Kids In" (3137 Gallery, Athens, 2018).
