Hello.

I am a multi-hyphenate theater artist whose work mines the histories of art, media and popular entertainment in America. I received my PhD from the Department of Media, Culture, and Communication (MCC) at New York University, where my work explored 19th century aesthetics at work in contemporary theater spaces. I also hold an MA from MCC/NYU and trained in Classical Acting at the London Academy of Dramatic Art.

I currently make work with longtime collaboarator Jesse Hawley out of Hatch Street Studios in New Bedford, MA. Our recent project CVK: Extended Play inserts a fake band (Clever and Vainglorious Kings) into the real history of the 80s New Wave scene and consists of an album of music, a faux historical essay and a reunion concert tour (Summer '23!). For info on this and other projects, see our website HERE. Prior to moving to New England, I was co-artistic director of the NTUSA (the National Theater of the United States of America), an OBIE winning experimental collective of multidisciplinary artists based in Brooklyn. Information on my 17 years with the NTUSA can be found HERE.

As an actor, I've worked with such artists as Young Jean Lee, Phil Soltanoff, Richard Maxwell, Normandy Sherwood, Yehuda Duenyas, Darko Tresnjak, the Acting Company, Joanna Settle, the Williamstown Theater Festival, Julie Atlas Muz, and others. I've also worked as a set designer, carpenter and stage technician.

At Harvard, I work as Artistic Producer of Theater, Dance and Media and teach classes in the concentration.
