Jaume Freire González is a Marie Curie researcher at the Department of Economics of Harvard University. He has worked at the Environmental Change Institute of the University of Oxford as a postdoctoral researcher, and as a consultant for many governments and institutions. Jaume has conducted both theoretical and empirical research on several issues related to environmental and ecological economics, but his main areas of work are energy economics, environmental taxation and water economics. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Jaume was awarded with a Marie Curie Fellowship by the European Commission to conduct research on the economic and environmental impacts of an Environmental Tax Reform (METRES project). He will be working with Professor Dale Jorgenson. This research project will be finished at ENT Environment & Management, an SME policy-oriented consultancy based in Vilanova i la Geltrú (Barcelona).
