Teaching Experience

Currently, I am serving as the Pedagogy Fellow for the math department. I am broadly interested in how we can incorporate modern pedagogy techniques in the math classroom to help our students learn and feel more interested and invested in the material we teach! In this role I work with other graduate students on their teaching. I am also serving as a Teaching Fellow for MATH 300, which is a pedagogy course for first year graduate students to learn how to teach math.

I am the lead organizer for the Harvard Directed Reading Program. This program pairs undergraduate students with graduate student mentors to learn a new topic together. I have also served as a mentor for the program many times.  I am particularly passionate about using this program as a tool to introduce new students to the math department and to advanced mathematics. The combination of low stakes and individualized attention from an experienced mentor makes the directed reading program an accesible entry point for students who may not otherwise have considered any advanced math classes. I am interested in having discussions with folks involved with leadership of similar programs on other campuses, as we are always looking for ways to improve our directed reading program experience!

In Spring 2023, I was a Teaching Fellow for Math 101 (Sets, Groups and Real Analysis). This is an introductory proof based math course.

In Fall 2021, I was a Teaching Fellow for Math 1A (calculus).

I (virtually) taught Math MA in fall 2020, which is a pre-calculus and calculus hybrid course with an emphasis on discovery and project based learning.

I have taught grades 6-10 math at the Limmud Centre, an innovative homeschooling centre for children from the Lubavitch community. They have been working together with the Quebec government to push the limits of what effective and coopoerative homeschooling can look like.
