Biography

Jon X Eguia is a Visiting Associate Professor of Government at Harvard University, with tenure at Michigan State University as an Associate Professor of Economics. He received a PhD in Social Sciences from the California Institute of Technology in 2007, and worked at NYU and U. Bristol (UK) prior to joining Michigan State in 2014 and visiting Harvard in 2020. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association, and a Faculty Affiliate of the Institute for Public Policy and Social Research (IPPSR). His research interests include topics in (formal) political theory, political economy and collective choice. He is currently working on three projects studying partisan fairness in redistricting, the design of electoral institutions, and multilateral conflict.
