I'm a social epidemiologist, Principal Research Scientist at the Center for Policing Equity, and Visiting Scientist at the Harvard FXB Center for Health and Human Rights. I do quantitative research to understand patterns of police violence as well as health inequality by race and social class.

I'm also working on a book, co-authored by Abigail Cartus, titled How to Hide a Plague. It's about how economic interests shaped the response to the covid pandemic with a focus on how this all played out in the US scientific community. If all goes well, it should be out in 2024 with University of Chicago Press.

I am always happy to discuss my work with people or send any of my paywalled articles. You can email me at the address included on my curriculum vitae below.
