In order to facilitate lasting and meaningful change, aspiring school leaders need the tools and frameworks to support them in this work, which ultimately helps to improve organizational practice, capacity, and culture. In this course, aspiring school leaders will learn how to make strong connections within the school community, and among the school, local community, and community-based organizations. Partnering with families and local organizations is crucial to building organizational capacity in schools. In this course, students will learn tools and frameworks that can help them to forge meaningful, lasting school-community partnerships that benefit all levels of the school organization and also support change processes. 3 credit hours
