I AM ON THE JOB MARKET IN AY 2021-2022

ABOUT ME

I'm a PhD candidate in economics at Harvard University. I'm also a Stone Scholar in Harvard's Inequality & Social Policy Program, an NSF Graduate Research Fellow, and a Horowitz Foundation Awardee

My research broadly examines how to identify and close racial and social opportunity gaps in the U.S.  My job market paper explores whether (1) police stops prevent neighborhood crime, (2) affect high school dropout rates, and (3) are implemented in a racially-equitable manner.

Other research projects include a randomized evaluation that explores whether individualized mentoring combined with monetary incentives can help low-income public housing residents achieve economic self-sufficiency, a paper that estimates the causal impact of police killings on civic engagement, and a study that uses adminstrative tax data to assess the impact of low-level arrests on the early-life trajectory of urban youth.
