Rebecca Kennedy de Lorenzini is a Lecturer on History & Literature where she teaches in the American Studies and Latin American Studies fields. She holds a Ph.D. in History (University of Colorado, Boulder), a M.A. in Latin American Studies (University of Texas, Austin) and a M.A. in Modern History, First Degree with Honours (University of St. Andrews, Scotland). She serves on the Committee on Instruction and the Advising and Modern World Subcommittees in History & Literature.

Dr. Kennedy de Lorenzini was born outside of Philadelphia and raised in Salt Lake City and the Philadelphia area. In addition to teaching history, she has taught yoga, skiing, and Spanish, and is deeply committed to mindfulness-based teaching approaches. She considers her other homes to be the Rocky Mountains, Guatavita, the Caribbean coast of Colombia, and coastal Maine.
