Campus Prayer Spaces

Harvard Yard
- Basement of Canaday Building; Harvard ID required for access
Smith Campus Center
- Prayer and meditation room available 9am-5pm in suite 728. Harvard ID required for access.
Harvard Kennedy School
- Muslim prayer room located in the basement near the main library, Room LG-28
Harvard Law School
- Muslim prayer room located in the Caspersen Student Center, 2nd floor, in the student lounge; Harvard ID required for access
Harvard Divinity School (2 prayer spaces)
- Center for World Religions has a meditation room that is always open
- Andover Building inside the Chapel on the 3rd floor
Harvard Education School (2 prayer spaces)
- Inside the Longfellow building located at 13 Appian Way, in room 214; open Monday through Friday
- Inside the Gutman building located at 6 Appian Way; open Saturdays and Sundays
Friday Jumua Prayer
- Khutba begins at 1:00pm and ends at 1:30pm
- Located in the Lowell Lecture Hall throughout the academic year until June. There are no Jumua Prayers in the summers.

Halal Dining

All campus dining halls in the student houses, including the Freshman Dining Hall (Annenberg Hall) have halal grilled chicken options. Ask the chef at the grill.
The Commons Café in Gutman Library located in Harvard Square at the Education School has halal options and is currently pursuing halal certification of it's kitchen and grill.
Chutney’s in Harvard Square (located at 36 John F. Kennedy Street) – chicken curry is halal.
Legal Seafood in Charles Square by the Kennedy School (20 University Rd) – the hamburger is halal
Star Market (699 Mt. Auburn Street) in Cambridge offers organic halal Angus grass fed ground beef and lamb through the Open Nature and Organics brand.
Falafel Corner (8 Eliot St)
Food trucks in the Science Center Plaza with Halal dining options include: Chef Grill, Chicken and Rice Guys, Chik Chak, The Pull-Up, Tandoor and Curry on Wheels, and Zaaki. For a complete, up-to-date schedule of the food trucks in the Plaza please visit here.
