I work in the Chandra X-ray Center (CXC) as a visiting student in the high-energy astrophysics division on the Chandra X-ray galaxy atlas under Dr. Dong-Woo Kim.

Previously, I was an international Nakatani Research Fellow in the Solid State Spectroscopy Group at Kyoto University, Japan, where I was involved with developing the technique of using terahertz microscopy for the characterization of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs). This work was the first time that carrier dynamics of ultrathin TMDs were found to be observable using the novel noninvasive THz microscopy technique, opening new potential in nanomaterial imaging. I am also working with the TolTEC camera team at the University of Masscahusetts Amherst to prepare simulations determining the diagnostic power of the instrument as it is commissioned on the Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT).
