Mike Kramer

Mike Kramer is a community-oriented mixed-use and housing developer in the Bay Area, as managing director of Palo Alto-based Sand Hill Property Company and Chief Investment Officer of the affiliated Woodland Park Communities. His work has a deep policy focus, including equitable solutions for local communities, serving residents and neighbors, sustainable design and construction, and it includes a consistent dialogue with local, regional, and state staff and officials. At Stanford he teaches in the Public Policy Program, and is also engaged with the department of Civil & Environmental Engineering and the Sustainable Design & Construction program.

Mike has previous experience in management consulting at BCG, in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, and served in the Obama White House in the Office of Management and Budget. Mike earned an BS and MS from the University of Illinois, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MPA from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
