On April 29th, Harvard Extension School student La'Toya Princess Jackson will take center stage at ARTS FIRST Festival for DanceFest to debut excerpts from Vanity Lane an original ballet created and written by Jackson. Harvard's annual ARTS FIRST festival is a showcase of student and faculty creativity produced by the Office for the Arts

“Brave New World” Channels the Present

"In its depiction of a crumbling utopia, Aldous Huxley’s 1932 classic “Brave New World” poses moral quandaries that remain relevant today. In their adaptation of the novel, the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company has found their own way to make connections between Huxley’s futuristic world and our present one. Staged in the black box of the Loeb Ex from April 6 to 8, the show will immerse the audience in an emotional experience of dance and projection. Each piece in the multi-part show will convey a predominant theme rather than a specific chapter."

The Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company presents "Brave New World"

HRMDC Brave New World

Set in an environment inspired by Aldous Huxley’s 1932 novel of the same name, Brave New World is the Harvard-Radcliffe Modern Dance Company’s second exploration of narrative dance. Taking advantage of the blackbox Loeb Experimental theater, audience members will be seated in the round and immersed in an up close experience of dance, light, and projections. Featuring the work of student and professional guest choreographers, Brave New World will explore themes of individuality, social issues, sexuality, and consumerism.
