Short Bio

Ms. Bacu is a graduate of Harvard University who completed a Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety degree. Her Capstone Project was focused on Psychological Safety of Advanced Practice Providers at Massachusetts General Hospital and she is passionate about quality improvement and patient safety. Lilia is a subject matter expert on strategies to create psychological safety, its importance within the healthcare landscape and impact on medical errors and clinical outcomes. 

Ms. Bacu worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a Nurse Practitioner and has served as a lecturer at Northeastern University in both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science programs. Her background is in Critical Care and Cardiac Surgery and has been on board committees at local and regional levels.

Ms. Bacu has volunteered in Rwanda, Africa for several years and facilitated transfer of knowledge related to safe surgery to local teams.
