Logan currently splits his time between a number of professional commitments he is passionate about. He is a full time Software Engineer at Apple, the Community Manager for the Julia Programming Language, a Teaching Fellow for Harvard University's Extension School course CSCI E-33A, and a technical course assistant for MIT's Introduction to Computational Thinking Course.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Logan is a lifelong student. He is an Alumni of Harvard University where he obstained his Bachelor in Extension Studies with a focus in Computer Science, Cum Laude, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Extension Studies with a focus in Software Engineering at Harvard University. Outside of Harvard, Logan studies IT System Analysis and Design at Oxford University in the ADITSAD program and has taken graduate level coursework in Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder. Before transferring to Harvard in 2018, Logan was a student at De Anza College between 2016 and 2018 where he was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society.
Logan previously interned at NASA, Apple, Disney, Julia Computing, and Beacon BioSignal in various software related capacities. Prior to these roles, Logan worked in a number of positions as an Apple Retail Store employee.
Logan spends a lot of his free time thinking and building things for the Julia Community. You can find out more about some of these projects on the Julia Language Discourse or the Julia Language Blog. He is also an active open source technical contributor (prior to his employment at Apple) and now directs much of his Open Source efforts on documentation and other non-technical initiatives. Outside of these projects, Logan's other interests are sleep science, community building, social initiatives, and climate science.
