Laura Quinton is a Lecturer on History and Literature at Harvard University. She recieved her PhD in History from New York University in 2021. Before coming to Harvard, she was a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in the College Core Curriculum at NYU and a Resident Fellow at NYU's Center for Ballet and the Arts. Her current book project, Ballet Imperial: Dance and the New British Empire, explores the unexpected entanglements of ballet and British politics over the course of the twentieth century. Fellowships from the NYU Center for the Humanities, the Mellon Foundation/Council on Library and Information Resources (CLIR), and the Alumnae Association of Barnard College have supported her work. Her writing has appeared in The Historical Journal, Twentieth Century British History, and the Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism.
