Jessica El Halabi, MD
Current Position: Resident in Internal Medicine, the Cleveland Clinic
During my clinical years as a medical student, I got to learn a lot about the importance of data science and its impact on medicine. I was driven into the field of biomedical informatics to learn more about the different computational methods that can be used in research to improve our knowledge and help shape the way we manage patients clinically. Bearing in mind the diversity of the American population, it makes them susceptible to multiple infections, one of which is tuberculosis which is still considered to be an ongoing worldwide threat. For that reason, I was interested to learn more about it and how the decrease in invidence has impacted the way we deal with it.
