Bio

I am a clinician and social scientist combining training in health policy and management science. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management from Harvard Business School in 2021. I am currently a research fellow in the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School where I am supported by a K99/R00 NIH career development award. I hold a BS from Georgetown University and an MS from the University of Pennsylvania, both in nursing, and an MPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, where I was a Centennial Fellow and a 2015-2016 student fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology and Bioethics at Harvard Law School. My research is informed by substantial professional experience in policy and practice, where I focused on innovations in health care delivery spanning policy, financing, and clinical redesign.

My research examines how health care organizations respond to payment and policy incentives aimed at improving performance. specialize in original data collection and multi-method research focused on the organization and delivery of health care services. I have designed and executed studies using administrative and claims data analysis, surveys, qualitative field work, and secret shopper methods. I am particularly interested in nonfinancial costs of care, administrative burden, and the role patients (customers) play in the organization and delivery of health care services. My area of focus is oncology care.
