Ethnographic Studies of European Higher Education
Call for papers for a special issue of the European Journal of Higher Education

On the occasion of the Ethnographies of Higher Education conference, The European Journal of Higher Education is seeking papers for a special issue dedicated to ethnographic studies of European higher education. We invite original articles on any of the multiple facets, sites, and themes of higher education, be it the formation and enactment of governance and policies, knowledge practices, learning and teaching, identities, or academics' and students' lives from a qualitative, primarily ethnographic perspective. We also invite more methodological and epistemological reflections on ethnographic research in higher education.

Papers should be submitted by May 20, 2013 to the editor of the special issue (thus also enabling the simultaneous preparation of papers for the conference and for publication). The decision of acceptance will be made by June 30, 2013; at the same time, the authors will receive editor's suggestions for improvement. The deadline for finalized articles will then be September 30, 2013. The special issue will be publisher in the Summer 2014. The journal's Instructions for authors can be found at the publisher's website http://www.tandfonline.com/toc/rehe20/current .

We are looking forward to your articles!
