All honors concentrators must take the one-term Junior Tutorial (English 98) in the fall or spring. These small group tutorials concentrate on techniques of critical reading and writing over the course of one semester. The writing requirements of the junior tutorial include the twenty-page Junior Essay, in which students explore a literary topic in depth, demonstrate independent critical judgment and analysis, and engage other critical writing.
