I am an environmental economist working to answer policy-relevant questions related to climate change and innovation. My current research focuses on characterizing firm responses to carbon pricing and renewable energy subsidies.

For my job market paper, I examine changes in productivity among coal-fired power plants and identify trade-offs that firms make when faced with a carbon price. My results have implications for carbon emissions reductions we can expect from carbon taxes as well as the current US federal administration's climate policy.

My work has been generously supported by the National Science Foundation.
