Short Bio
Buddhist chaplain, teacher, scholar, leader.
As the Assistant Dean of Multireligious Ministry at Harvard Divinity School (HDS), I prepare diverse students to become religious and spiritual leaders, focusing on those historically excluded from graduate-level religious vocational education in America, including Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Pagan, Spiritual, Secular students, and those who don't fit neatly into categories. HDS has welcomed such students for decades and as our society diversifies, and I assist their preparation for vocational leadership both within their own communities and in interreligious settings using my background as a chaplain, interreligious leader, interreligious teacher, and researcher focused on Buddhist chaplaincy (across all sectors) and college chaplaincy (across all traditions).
