Crystals are like people, it is the defects in them which tend to make them interesting. – C. Humphreys

Michele Pizzochero is a Research Associate in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University, where he previously worked as an SNSF Postdoctoral Fellow. He conducts research in condensed matter theory, with a strong emphasis on disorder, magnetism, and quantum transport in low-dimensional crystals. Michele holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and an M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of Milan.
