This interdisciplinary course is a computer-oriented introduction to informatics in various academic/industrial fields such as biology, medicine, pharmacology, agricultural science, smart farm, social science, network science, smart manufacturing, meteorology, autonomous vehicles, and etc. This class will help students understand the concepts of informatics that are currently used in most field. Students will also learn about the sense of approaching other disciplines through the convergence of Statistics and Computer Science technology. This course will particularly cover biologics/medicine fields where information technology is most actively applied nowadays.
