At the International Meeting of the Organization for Human Brain Mapping in Rome, Mike Datko won an award for the real time performance category of the Brain Art competition with his "Funktional MRI" created from real scanner noises mapped onto a drum set. Jeungchan was awarded a Spark Award at the 2019 Martinos Center Open House for his exemplary committment to the core values of the center. The director, Bruce Rose, read out the nomination text at the awarding that will ring true for anyone who has met or worked with Jeungchan in any capacity. 

We are delighted to report that images from a recent paper from our group, Machine learning-based prediction of clinical pain using multimodal neuroimaging and autonomic metrics (Lee et. al., 2109), is featured on the front cover of the March edition of PAIN! This research explored novel analyses and techniques for assessing pain states in chronic low back pain patients by applying machine learning classification algorithms to brain imaging and physiological data. This past weekend, members of the Napadow Lab joined those of the Loggia lab in full CiPNI force for a post-holidays Holiday Party! Delicious homemade food was consumed admist good conversation and raucous laughter. The evening was capped off with a stellar performance by our own M^3: Michael Berry slaying guitar, Michael Datko laying down the beat on the drums, and Marco Loggia on the iviories.
