CiPNI Holiday Party ft. Lab Musicians!

This past weekend, members of the Napadow Lab joined those of the Loggia lab in full CiPNI force for a post-holidays Holiday Party! Delicious homemade food was consumed admist good conversation and raucous laughter. The evening was capped off with a stellar performance by our own M^3: Michael Berry slaying guitar, Michael Datko laying down the beat on the drums, and Marco Loggia on the iviories.

Welcome Alessandra and Michael!

The Napadow Lab welcomed two new post docs this past fall! Alessandra Anzolin comes to us from Sapienza University of Rome where she obtained her PhD in Bioengineering, focusing on EEG signals to study how stroke and neurofeedback treatment impact cognitive functions. During the summer of 2018, Alessandra also worked as a research fellow at a Neuroelectrical Imaging and BCI lab within Fondazione Santa Lucio Hospital (Rome, Italy). In the Napadow Lab, she brings her expertise to the EEG/fNIRS Hyperscanning project to explore the neural correlates of the Patient-Clinician relationship...

Aaron Kuyci visits CiPNI!

Martinos alumnus Aaron Kuyci from the Parvizi Lab at Stanford visited CiPNI on Wednesday to give an insightful talk on the correspondance between BOLD fMRI and intracranial ECog recordings. His work is highly informative and brings neuroscience closer to understand the actual neural correlates that produce the BOLD data recorded in functional MR imaging! Thanks for the presentation!

Vitaly presenting recent Napadow Lab findings from acupuncture and neuroimaging research!

Vitaly presented as the keynote speaker at the 2017 Association for Professional Acupuncture (APA) Annual Meeting. In this talk, Vitaly discusses in depth the research projects involving topics such as electroacupuncture, carpal tunnel syndrome, therapeutic aliance (impact of the relationship between a patient and clinician), and hyperscanning. Given the nature of the audience, this talk is great for anyone interested in this research, but may be lacking a strong background in imaging modalities...

Napadow Lab featured on Airang TV episode on Traditional Korean Medicine in the Modern World
