Biography

Nate Clark (he/him/his) holds a master's degree from Harvard University (ALM '23) in the field of Government. His research interests include political communication and media effects, American Political Development, and LGBTQ representation. He is an affiliate of the Center for American Political Studies (CAPS) at Harvard. 

Professionally, Nate has more than 20 years experience as an independent creative director, filmmaker, author, and satirist. His has directed commercials and industrial content for brands including Louis Vuitton, the New York Times, Summit, FENDI, and many more. Additionally, has written and performed in hundreds of sketches, musicals, and improvs at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the Groundlings, and venues across the country. Nate brings this experience to media effects research and novel social science experiments with a primary focus on the political effects of creative and aesthetic best-practices in media production.

He is a former Human Services Commissioner for the City of West Hollywood, CA, and dedicates his free time to serving communities in need. Nate lives in Los Angeles with his husband, Allen, and their children. More info at https://nateclark.net.
