Research Area and Expertise

Study the effects of electricity on human brain and spinal cord and apply this knowledge towards translational medical device design.

Specific areas of research include:

  • Neurocapillary-modulation principle and its translational application across neuromodulation technologies inclduing SCS, DBS, ECT, TMS, tES/tDCS.
  • Heating related mechanism of action of SCS and DBS.
  • Advanced electrode technologies in non-invasive electrical stimulation to address safety and efficacy.
