Hi! My name is Nicole Sturgis and I'm a junior in Quincy House studying Government. In addition to peer counseling for the Government concentration, I am involved in the Fellow's Study Group at the IOP by liaisoning for Spring 2018 Fellow Scott Jennings, research and write for Harvard Law School's Access to Justice Lab, interned at Governor Baker's campaign for re-election, and write for the Crimson. In addition, I am a ministry team leader for Harvard College Faith and Action, my Christian Fellowship. At home in the Chicago suburbs, I enjoy cooking and baking, following the Dodgers with my dad, and catching up on all the Netflix I missed while at school.
If you have any questions about why I chose Government as my concentration or what its like being a Gov concentrator, please reach out! Coming into Harvard I thought I was going to be an Environment Engineering concentrator, spent all of freshman year trying to figure it out eventually settling on Chemistry, then realized Sophomore year my interest in politics was more an academic curiosity than the sciences for me. In addition, you can ask me about my experiences interning in government related jobs (political consulting and campaigns) or my extra-curriculars at Harvard! I really enjoy what I am doing in and around the Government concentration and would love to tell you more!
