Conference series on Contemporary Islamic Religion and Society

As part of the efforts to promote the study of contemporary Islamic Religion and Society a conference series was initiated and sponsored by NELC, CAS, AAAS, HDS, and The Hutchins Center bringing together senior and junior scholars from all disciplines of the humanities and social sciences.

Past Conferences

"West Africa and the Maghreb” convened by Ousmane Kane will take place on September 13-15, 2018 at Harvard Divinity School.

"New Directions in the Study of Islamic Scholarship in Africa" convened by Ousmane Kane on October 5-6, 2017 at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University.
