About Ray
Ray Nobuhara is a Japanese American high school senior at the Bronx High School of Science. At Policy for the People, she works as the managing director, focusing on day-to-day internal activities. She has been with Policy for the People since February 2021. She helps out with multiple events thereafter, including Education Policython, Merge, Researchathon, and Estimathon. She loves the fundamental premise of Policy for the People, which is giving high school and undergraduate students the opportunity to embrace themselves in the policy field.
Outside of Policy for the People, she loves doing various activities, but she loves playing music & learning languages and cultures the most. She has been playing the tenor saxophone for almost six years, and she takes part in Face the Music, a youth program sponsored by the Kaufman Music Center, and the jazz band in her school. She also is a student of the Japanese Weekend School of New York for almost eleven years, learning history, culture, mathematics, & the language of Japan in Japanese. She also loves diving into other languages, learning Latin at school & Korean online.
