Yurika joins the lab with a Bachelors in neuroscience from Boston University. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the Ling Lab, studying visual neuroscience. Yurika was part of a project studying the distinction of neural mechanisms between visual perception and visual memory representations in humans. Joining the Polley lab, Yurika is excited to start studying a different sensory system. She will assist in multiple projects as a research technician for the lab. She is excited to learn and apply the newest methods of animal research to study the mechanisms behind auditory perceptual disorders.
