About Me

I am a sophomore (class of 2020) at Harvard College, studying mathematics. For the 2017-'18 school year, I will be serving as music director for the Harvard Bach Society Orchestra.

My life mostly revolves around math and music, and as such, I do a lot of both! This semester, I am organizing a seminar on spectral sequences in algebraic topology, serving as course assistant for Math 101 at Harvard, playing bassoon in the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, and conducting BachSoc. Outside of math and music, I have an interest in Zen philosophy and practice, postmodern literature (Italo Calvino, anyone??), and powerlifting/bodybuilding.

Mathematically, I am interested in using algebraic techniques to gain intuition about geometry. In particular, I am drawn to algebraic topology.
