Richard was selected as the Communications Fellow in the Division of Science. Part of Richard's project this year will be to develop a strategic and cohesive virtual presence for the Division. Working with deans, faculty, administrators, and technologists, he will ensure that the web sites are engaging, current, interactive, and appropriately reflect the diversities within the Division. He will also be responsible for the creation and implementation of editorial and marketing content for the web and other forms of media.

Richard Jean Bazile holds a B.A. in social science from DePaul University, an M.A. in history from Chicago State University, and an M.S. in library and information science from University of Illinois, Urbana - GSLIS. For the past six years, he has served as director/chair of the Learning Resource Center at Wilbur Wright College, one of the seven City Colleges of Chicago. Some of his previous positions are based in technology, information science, and the management of people in academia. Positions previously held are director of information systems & technical services, director of learning & instructional services, and assistant director of library information systems. Through his varied experiences, he is skilled in all phases of managing information and people, including administration, budgeting, assessment, and supervision. He continues to involve himself with alumni groups and mentorship programs, and he plans to complete a doctorate in community college leadership.
