Diversity

This page is intended as a collection of advice and ideas for anyone trying to tackle issues of diversity, inclusion and justice at their institution, especially in the mathematical sciences. Check out the menu at the left for all the content.

Check back often as I will be adding things regularly.

I'm always happy to hear of resources you have found useful and that I could add here!

Diversity and community-building checklist: if you are looking for a way to think about what your institution is doing to help build community and support your underrepresented students, you may find this checklist helpful. It is a list of all sorts of things you might try, and may help you in planning your next move, figuring out what your priorities are, what the low-hanging fruit are, etc. Please let me know if there is anything else I could add to the list!

You might be interested in this fascinating website, Human in STEM. It is chock-full of stories, resources and inspiration. The Resources tab in particular is super helpful -- basically what I am trying to do here, but prettier, clearer and probably more helpful! Check it out.
