I fully support efforts to increase diversity in mathematics! In particular, I am a Faculty Advisor for Harvard Gender Inclusivity in Mathematics (GIIM), a student group on campus. Please see their website for details on the events they are holding, and ways you can get involved.
I am also a signatory to the Commitment to gender equity at scholarly conferences. My participation in conferences is contingent on the organizers making it an explicit priority to select female and male speakers in an unbiased manner (see here for more explanations). I have not found such a commitment for other diversity issues, such as race and ethnicity, but would gladly sign one.
During the 2014-2015 academic year, I was a Lecturer and Assistant to the Director of Undergraduate Studies here.
Before then (2009-2014), I was a PhD Candidate with the Imaging and Computing Group in the Department of Mathematics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I graduated in June 2014 with my PhD in Applied Mathematics.
