We Love Reading (WLR) is a program seeking to create a generation of change makers by fostering a love for reading among children throughout Jordan and the world. We train volunteers—who we call WLR Reading Ambassadors—to run libraries and read aloud to children in their community, leveraging avant-garde research we conduct with elite international institutions to inform our methodology. Founded in 2006, our grassroots initiative currently operates in more than 54 countries, with over 4500 Reading Ambassadors reaching more than 448,900 children.
