Dr. Handley is a physician leader and executive. In May, 2020, he completed a Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety degree from the Harvard Medical School, during which time he also served as a Quality Improvement graduate student, research Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Hospital Medicine Unit, Boston, MA.
He has served as Chief Operating Officer to Wells World Services (WWS) from its inception and helped to establish its very first location in Southwest Asia. He served in both the Colorado Air National Guard and US Navy, where he ultimately earned a commission as a Navy Medical Service Corps Officer (Lieutenant).
In 2000, after honorable discharge, he pursued PA clinical practice in the subspecialties of family medicine, urgent care, occupational, emergency medicine, and dermatology. He received his PA training at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and completed a Master's degree at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, specializing in family medicine. He also holds Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Health Science, Executive MBA , and Master of Fine Arts (Film and TV) degrees. He is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, NAHQ Board Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, and a member of the Academy of Physicians in Clinical Research.
Dr. Handley currently serves on the MHQS alumni panel, in Honorarium capacity, conducting program applicant screening and interviews for the purposes of selecting incoming Harvard Medical School Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety (MHQS) degree-seeking candidates/Fellows.
