Dr. Rui Yin is currently a research fellow at the Department of Biomedical Informatics, Harvard Medical School, working with Dr. Paul Avillach to apply machine learning-based methods to clinical and genomic datasets to discover subgroups of diseases. He received his Ph.D. degree from School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, under the supervision of Dr. Kwoh Chee Keong. His research interest is to develop machine learning methods to solve biomedical problems including RNA viruses related, genotype-phenotype association study, rare/undiagnosed diseases and precision medicine.
