I am a PhD candidate in the Economics Concentration of Harvard University's PhD Program in Health Policy. I hold a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University, concentrating in Health Policy with a minor in Economics. Between my undergraduate and graduate studies, I worked as a research assistant for the Health Economics Resource Center, part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Broadly speaking, I seek through my research to better understand when and how the government should intervene in health care markets. Because health care markets are complicated and the sources of market failure are diverse, it is often difficult for policymakers to foresee the full range of consequences of their interventions. My research addresses unintended policy consequences, using sophisticated econometric techniques and applying insights from microeconomic theory, industrial organization, and public finance.
