The ED discharge process provides a unique opportunity to address communication-based disparities and improve outcomes for patients and families.  Our work has demonstrated persistent disparities in ED discharge communication and tested novel strategies to improve the process (see, for example: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32807539/).  Below, you can find a training video to learn about a brief intervention to improve medication discharge safety at the time of ED discharge.
