Open Letter Press has just released the advance copies of our translation of Olga Sedakova, In Praise of Poetry. Together with Caroline Clark and Ksenia Golubovich, I worked for several years on the large, challenging texts in this book: the prose memoir "In Praise of Poetry," which Caroline translated; the poetry cycle "Tristan and Isolde," which Caroline and Ksenia translated, and the long cycle "Old Songs," which I translated. We also include an interview with Olga done for the occasion of our book, as well as her acceptance speech on receiving the Master's Prize in Translation. We're happy it's finally out.
